G & T test prep program

Preschool, summer camp, and tutoring center in NYC

With the new Gifted & Talented Test quickly approaching in January 2013, we are offering a special course for Pre-K and Kindergarten students who are eligible to take the test.

For the 2012-2013 testing season, the NYC Department of Education recently announced that it will keep the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT) and replace the Bracken School Readiness Assessment (BRSA) with the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT2). The NNAT2 test is complex and consists of 4 different types of non-verbal skills such as pattern completions, analogical reasoning as well as serial reasoning and spatial visualization. The NNAT2 is very similar to the Stanford-Binet and WPPSI tests.

The NYC Department of Education made this change because the NNAT2 is a nonverbal test that is a better measure of raw intelligence and can be more fairly administered to the diverse population of New York City schoolchildren.

Due to the higher level of difficulty presented in the new test, fewer children are expected to qualify for seats in G&T programs for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Our G&T Test Prep Course will consist of 14 1.5 hour sessions with a maximum student to teacher ratio of 5:1.

Course Tuition: $1190 (includes class materials, homework materials and parent seminar). Please see the fall schedule and enroll early to secure a space for your child.

Course schedule:

Saturdays from 1:00-2:30pm: Sept. 22, 29, Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27, 29, Nov 3, 10, 17, 24, Dec. 1, 8, 15

Customer Testimonial:

"I never thought I would be one of those parents prepping their kids for Kindergarten. The minute you walk into FasTracKids you know it is going to be great: the teachers are amazing and the videos they send home are wonderful so you can watch your kid and see how they learn. My son has learned so much in 5 months, things he would have not learned in school. Worth every penny we spent!"
